I read the reports first thing this morning and the typhoon (already a category 4, with 5 being the highest) "is located approximately 485 nm south-southeast of Naha, Okinawa." We are right in it's path. The estimated maximum wave height could reach 31 feet. And the winds can range from 131-155 mph. The Okinawan gentleman who owns the land next to our apartment building has completely disassembled his large storage shed. And the surfers are all out in the water this morning as the waves are starting to kick up. On a good note, the auto shop was able to get my car window up!

Anna,
Will you be staying in your apartment during the storm or do you have to leave?
