This weekend was a 'hang around the house' one. We had a soccer game, errands, and projects to work on. One of the projects was purchasing a bar-height patio set so that we could eat on the balcony and be able to see over our typhoon-proof balcony wall. This one does the trick. We enjoyed supper Sunday night alfresco. We had great weather and spent most of Sunday on the beach. Mason and Ty went snorkeling. Alaina and I stayed on the shore--we're planning to let the water warm up just a little more! Alaina found an Okinawan friend to play with. They couldn't speak to each other a bit, but in about 5 minutes flat they were holding hands and running all over the beach. The weather is really warming up here. We're living with the doors and windows open all the time trying to hold off on the air conditioning. We'll see how long we make it!

Dear Susan--
It is a lot of fun to live here. Okinawa is an island so we have beaches and water all around us. The beach doesn't look like yours in Florida, though. This beach has huge rocks and caves. If you look on this blog at the very first pictures you will see the caves!
A - love the patio set. looks great.
Alaina - hey this is cate. i miss you so much. you hair looks really long in the picture. i almost didn't recognize you. i miss you. i wish we could talk through the computer. c
